Scores of international students climbed aboard this mighty ship for a trip to Oslo. Or perhaps that was for 2 nights of partying that just happened to be on a ship heading to Oslo and back again. You can decide for yourselves. The Spanish and English kids almost didn't make it onto the boat. We had to take a train to the harbour, yet somehow they managed to catch a non-stop regional train instead of the metro S-toget. I think they made it on at 4.59, a good 12 seconds before the boat pulled away. Blame is yet to be allocated...
The first night was smooth sailing and all-night partying in the onboard night clubs. Dinner was a sensational buffet; Chris and I managed to secure 5 courses but couldn't quite find room for a sixth course which would have been cheese. I managed to fly a 5L keg of Warsteiner beer back from Germany, and this somehow managed to find its way onto the boat... a little shaken after Chris ran with it from the station.
The second night wasn't so smooth. In fact it was excessively tumultuous... only those people who were already drunk before the boat began hurtling from side to side avoided the effects of seasickness... Or it may have just been the hangover kicking in from the night before that caused so many green faces.
