The Bright Colours of Winter
This afternoon an orange ball of fire - the setting sun - burnt behind St Paul's, setting the outline of the dome in full contrast to the reddening horizon. The skies are clear in London and the days are getting longer. Saturday saw me in a t-shirt playing frisbee in Hyde Park; the lake was bright blue, the grass bright green. These are not the supposed forlorn colours of a London winter! Plus, I felt a seemingly new sensation on the weekend... no, more a distant memory: the feeling of warmth from the sun's rays! And how good it felt! I shouldn't celebrate too soon however - this weekend I'll be spending in Catalunya, yet the forecast there is looking ominous... Perhaps I'll have to wait until Anth and I hit up Portugal at Easter for some real sun-and-beach weather!
